HIV/AIDS Peer Education Specialist

Maipelo is a BOTA accredited HIV/AIDS Peer Education specialist and the Managing Director of MAGPAL/ Excellence Elevated Services (Pty) Ltd, which specializes in providing training in HIV Risk Reduction, Peer Education, Leadership and Management, Emotional Intelligence, and Basics in HIV, Malaria and TB.  Maipelo holds an M.A in Health Communications from the University of Nebraska (U.S.A).

Maipelo has over ten years of counseling and psychosocial support and training experience. She has worked on a number of projects both locally and in the United States of America. Some of her major accomplishments include developing a comprehensive Strategic Plan for the Nebraska Aids Project, representing Botswana in a number of international and local public health conferences, and providing supervisory and project management support in her role as a Project Supervisor at Family Health International.
